Boost Your Event’s Visibility on Google – Start Optimizing Your Title and Description Now!

Your event name matters far more than you think. Imagine you’re putting on the concert of the year, but Google and other search engines act like nothing’s happening. Your event’s visibility on Google is non-existent! Nobody can find it except the people who already know it’s happening. Frustrating, right? So how do you get your event onto Google’s first page?

The reason for poor (or zero) ranking on Google and other search engines often comes down to something simple yet crucial: how your event is entered into the Entrio system and the choice of keywords.

If you’re selling tickets through Entrio, your goal is to make sure every potential buyer lands directly on your event page – where you, as the organizer, provide all the key info. You don’t want them wandering off to other sites. The goal of every sale is simple: get the customer to your page and keep them there.

That’s where SEO comes in. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the practice of making your content easy for search engines to find and rank. Google and other platforms use “indexing” – scanning content, noting key details, and deciding where your event should appear in search results.

If your event name and description don’t contain enough properly structured information, search engines can’t figure out who should see it or when. It’s like handing out a poster with no date, no venue, and no reason to attend.

Time for Action – 3 Steps to Better Reach

Before your event ever makes it to Google (or your buyers), you need to create it in Entrio’s system with the right title and description.

Step 1: The Event Title

That small title box is hugely important — even big events have failed because of poor naming.

Here’s how to craft it (max. 70 characters):

  1. Always include the performer’s name whenever possible. Think about how people will type their search.
  2. Use the performer’s name in its standard form – the way it appears on YouTube and Spotify. That’s how most people search, and Entrio’s search engine doesn’t play nicely with word endings or case variations. This is specific to Croatian language.

❌ Crvene Jabuke

  1. Be sure to include the date and location in the title.

Step 2: The Event Description

  1. Don’t hesitate to repeat the key information and keywords.
  2. Start with the most important details – search engines give priority to things standing in the beginning of the paragraph
  3. Google loves descriptions that clearly answer: Who? What? Where? When?
  4. Keep the essentials within 160 characters (that’s what Google displays). Then you can expand with more creative details that help “sell” the event.
  5. Always end with a clear call to action: Buy your ticket. Secure your spot!

The description is another critical step – and while you can edit it later, it’s best to start strong right away.

Don’t skip the description.

BONUS: Ticket Categories with Descriptions

Don’t stop at naming ticket categories “VIP,” “Parter,” or “Early Bird.” Add what’s included — seating, perks like a welcome drink, or early entry. That helps both buyers and search engines understand your offer.

Before & After Examples

Before:
Event title: Crvena jabuka
Description: Concert in Zagreb.

After:
Event title: Crvena jabuka – Greatest Hits Live, Dom sportova, Zagreb (June 15, 2025)
Description excerpt: Crvena jabuka, the legendary pop-rock band, returns to Zagreb on June 15 with a concert packed with their biggest hits, from Tamo gdje ljubav počinje to Dirlija. Experience an unforgettable night of music at the iconic Dom sportova — tickets available online! Wondering if it’ll be worth it? Here’s our answer with another rhetorical question — does Žera wear red Converse?

The difference? Search engines now have enough details to connect the event with searches like “concerts Zagreb June”, “Crvena jabuka Dom sportova”, or “pop rock concerts 2025.”

This description is short but effective. Ideally, the first paragraph should carry all the crucial details, with the performer’s name always in its standard form. The rest of the text can expand with extra info for visitors, links to music videos or new albums – but that first paragraph should be “food” for the search engines.

Quick SEO Tips for Every Event

  • Use every field – title, location, date, and description together build visibility.
  • Add relevant keywords – performer, genre, city, venue.
  • Make descriptions rich in detail – what to expect, why it’s special, who’s performing.
  • Keep descriptions unique – avoid generic phrases like “a concert you can’t miss” without context.
  • Think like your audience – what would they type to find your event?

Don’t Forget Entrio’s Own Search

SEO isn’t just about Google – it matters just as much on Entrio.

Imagine a buyer comes to Entrio looking for your event. If your event has the same title as others, they’ll have to click through two or three identical listings just to guess the right one. Worst case: they accidentally buy tickets for the wrong event and show up empty-handed at yours. Yes, it’s happened.

Take Jelena Rozga as a live example – you can see multiple listings on Entrio.

Event names can be ok and can be – better

In this case, 585 Club wins the “naming race” because its title is the clearest.

Sure, a big performer’s name will drive ticket sales anyway, but you can stand out from the very beginning by adding crucial details to the title. That small effort makes the buyer’s click faster and easier. Already, the second listing in the results is much clearer than the others and takes buyers directly where they need to go.

Entrio’s search engine scans both the event title and description. That means every word you add counts. Performer, genre, special guests, location, even themes or event motifs – put them all in.

The result? Buyers know exactly what they’re getting. Fewer clicks, less confusion – more tickets sold.

And don’t forget to check if there are already similar events with the same performer on Entrio. You’ll want your event name to stand out.

tl;dr

Title + Location + Date + Description = The formula for better reach on Entrio, Google, and beyond.

What’s Next?

Once you’ve nailed titles and descriptions, the next step in your event evolution is design.
